Welcome to the STAT EMS,Inc/Hurley Medical Center

Consortium for Paramedic Education and EMS Education

STAT EMS became a licensed Proprietary School with the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth, and the State of Michigan Department of Education in 2008 affiliating with Hurley Medical Center.

The EMS Education Department began in March 2008 due to increased demands for higher quality pre-hospital education and to encourage promotional opportunities for its medical staff.  STAT claimed its own EMS Education home in the fall of 2012 due to increased enrollment, demand for higher education, and its Mission and Vision for pre-hospital EMS in the Region.

The STAT EMS,Inc/Hurley Medical Center Consortium for Paramedic Education has been issued a Letter of Review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP Executive Office). This letter is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status, it is a status signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation Standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. Letter of Review is recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for eligibility to take the NREMT's Paramedic credentialing examination(s). However, it is NOT a guarantee of eventual accreditation.
