STAT Emergency Medical Services, Inc of Genesee County are pleased to announce an EMT-Basic Program beginning May 19, 2009. 

This is a highly intense course focused and designed to provide the EMT-Basic student with the cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills to assess and treat the acutely ill or injured patient. 

Upon completion of the EMT-Basic Program, the EMT-Basic candidate will then be eligible to be seated for the National Registry examination.  Students passing the National Registry examination will then be eligible to apply for licensure with the State of Michigan.

The STAT EMS EMT-Basic Program will begin May 19, 2009. Evening classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Classes will be conducted at our State of Michigan Approved site located at STAT EMS Central District Headquarters Training Center 520 West Third Street, Flint, MI.

The tuition cost of the program is $750.00.   A registration fee of $250.00 is due prior to the beginning of the program.  This registration fee will be applied to your tuition. 

Tuition covers the following:

Liability Insurance

AAOS Ninth Edition Books

Badge Identification

Fully equipped ambulance for virtual training
Emergency Vehicle Operations Course or EVOC (Certified and meets DOT standards)
Uniform
Safety Vests (Ambulance Clinical's)

SETEC offers several convenient forms of tuition payment including:

Master Card, Visa  

Agency Tuition Assistance (Department Sponsorship)

Entrance Pre-requisites:
To be accepted into the Emergency Medical Technician Basic Program, students must meet all of the following pre-requisites:

High school Diploma or GED equivalent

NO felony or high misdemeanor convictions (National Registry prohibits candidates with a felony conviction to test). (Back ground checks are performed).

Acceptance of the SETEC Policy Manual, STAT EMS Policy and tuition policy

Hepatitis B vaccine (provided at additional charge)
TB Test (provided at additional charge)

Please review and complete the EMS Program application. Please mail the completed application along with your deposit and the entrance pre-requisites:
 APPLICATIONS WILL BE DELAYED IF ANY ITEMS ARE MISSING OR INCOMPLETE.
